A whole range of support measures is in place in Primorye for participants of the special military operation and their families. In Primorye every effort is made to provide timely support not only to the participants of the special operation directly, but also to their families. The list of measures is constantly being expanded and updated.
Oleg Kozhemyako: Primorsky Krai has created a system of comprehensive support for SWO participants and their families. Each of them is assigned a social coordinator, and all family members can receive the necessary medical, psychological, legal and social assistance.
The secretary of the regional branch of United Russia, the head of the region, said at an off-site meeting of the working group on the issues of social security services, which took place in Krasnogorsk near Moscow. "Social taxis are in very high demand, and families with a disabled child are assisted in transporting them. The parents of the participants of the SWO are not ignored: we have 87 families that receive social services at home," said Oleg Kozhemyako.
Relatives of deceased combatants are provided with health resort treatment. In the first four months of 2023, 29 families received such assistance. A number of support measures concern the children of the participants of combat operations and mobilised persons. Oleg Kozhemyako said that payments are provided to children whose fathers became disabled of the first or second group or died. In addition, there is a payment for school fees for the family of a deceased special operation participant.

"Our region became one of the first subjects to introduce a cash payment for the purchase and construction of housing for children of participants of the Defence Forces who died in the performance of military duty or became disabled of the first group. The payment is made on the basis of 36 square metres for each child. The right to receive it arises when the child reaches the age of 18. Now we will provide housing for the families of those who died with two or more children until they reach the age of 18 when the death of the father is established," the governor emphasised.
The flat will be managed by the family without the right to sell it, but the family can use it, including renting it out. Also in Primorsky Krai, additional payments for kindergarten attendance are made, free meals are provided for pupils in grades 1-6, free attendance at sections and recreation in a health camp.
"Free travel in public transport is organised for children of SWO participants. It applies to city buses, trolleybuses, trams. Veterans of combat operations are entitled to 50% compensation for housing and utility bills and contributions for capital repairs. For special feats we have decided to mark with a special sign of Primorye. To the award "For Merit to Primorye" is paid 1 million rubles", - concluded Oleg Kozhemyako.
