According to her, the "Clean Air" project in 2022 managed to reduce atmospheric emissions by 11%. Gasification of houses is underway, more than 500 units of environmentally friendly transport have been put on city routes. In September 2023, 29 more cities will start the experiment on quotas for air pollutant emissions. Work is underway to create infrastructure for hazardous waste management, seven modern production and technical enterprises are being built, two of which are planned to be launched this year.
Also, during the implementation of the federal project "Forest Conservation", reforestation was carried out on an area of 4.88 million hectares. In addition, within the framework of the national project, new national parks are being created and nature reserves are being expanded. Rare animal species, including the Far Eastern leopard and polar bear, are under special protection.
"Work has already started and will continue to include new territories in the implementation of the national project. Among the areas of work for the near future, it is important to solve tasks in the field of strategic development of the forestry complex and subsoil use, waste management reform, general cleaning of the country, reduction of dependence on imported equipment and introduction of a closed-cycle economy," Abramchenko concluded.
