In 2021, ForestGrand LLC together with the Primorsky Krai Wrestling Federation took part in organising and holding the All-Russian wrestling tournament "Cup by the Sea! Vladivostok hosted the All-Russian wrestling tournament "Cup by the Sea". The tournament "Cup by the Sea" kicked off the competition season for Primorsky Krai wrestlers. Athletes fought in three types of wrestling: sport, Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling.
The seventh All-Russian wrestling tournament "Cup by the Sea" was held at the Olympian sports complex from 25 to 26 September. More than 250 athletes from Primorsky, Khabarovsk and Transbaikal Territories, Sakhalin, Irkutsk, Amur and Magadan Regions, the Republics of Sakha (Yakutia) and Buryatia, as well as the Chukotka Autonomous District took part in the competition.
The strongest were identified among boys and girls under 16 in three disciplines: Greco-Roman wrestling, freestyle wrestling and women's wrestling. For winning the tournament, athletes were awarded the title "Candidate for Master of Sports" in wrestling.
According to the results of the competition, Primorsky Krai athletes won nine gold, eight silver and nine bronze medals. As the Primorsky Krai Wrestling Federation reported, it is very important to hold high-level competitions for the development of this sport in the region.
Wrestlers from the Far East won awards at the All-Russian tournament "Cup by the Sea". The next All-Russian wrestling tournament "Cup by the Sea" will be held in Vladivostok on 24 and 25 September 2022. Young wrestlers will open a new sports season with this tournament. The competition will be hosted by the Dynamo sports complex.
Medals will be awarded in three types of wrestling: Greco-Roman, freestyle and women's freestyle. In total, more than 280 athletes under 16 from nine regions of Russia will compete for victory: Primorsky, Khabarovsk, Altai, Transbaikal, Kamchatka, Krasnoyarsk Territories, Magadan, Sakhalin Regions and Chukotka Autonomous District.
"For the first time the tournament will be visited by representatives of the Krasnoyarsk and Altai regions. The main task of these competitions is to give a start to the whole season. It summarises what condition the wrestlers are in, what form they are in. It reveals the existing mistakes and athletes look at their weaknesses and coaches try to correct them," said Oleg Ledovskikh, president of the Primorsky Krai wrestling federation.
