As of July 1, 2021, a requirement has been introduced to submit forest declarations and reports in electronic format through State Services
It is now possible to submit a forest declaration via the State Services service.
From 1 July 2021, amendments to the Forest Code of the Russian Federation came into force. From 1 July 2021, it will be possible to submit forest declarations and reports on forest use in electronic form via the Unified Portal of State and Municipal Services. Regional portals of state services will provide a similar opportunity. Also among the documents that forest users will be able to submit electronically are declarations on timber transactions, reports on the protection of forests from fires and pollution, and forest protection.
Until 01 July 2021, companies and individual entrepreneurs were entitled to draw up and submit most documents on paper. This possibility will be eliminated. From July 2021, a number of "forest" documents must be submitted electronically via Gosuservices or LesEGAIS. To make it easier for forest users to comply with the law, the Federal Forestry Agency has posted on its website recommended forms of forest declarations and reports on the use, reproduction, protection and conservation of forests in the form of XML documents that can be used to obtain state services.
Since 30 March 2021, forest users have been able to access the LesEGAIS system via the Gosuslugi portal. The innovations were introduced in accordance with the provision of the Forest Code of the Russian Federation established by Federal Law No. 3-FZ dated 04.02.2021.
