The international event “Garden of Memory” was held for the first time in 2020

The Head of State declared the “Garden of Memory” event an annual event.

In May 2020, ForestGrand LLC took part in the International Action “Garden of Memory”, as part of the implementation of the National Project “Ecology”.

The ForestGrand LLC company planted alleys and a memory garden on the territory of the Spassk-Dalniy municipality, and the Spassky and Kavalerovsky municipal districts of the Primorsky Territory of the Far Eastern Federal District, in honor of the defenders of the Motherland who died during the Great Patriotic War. The event involved company employees, local authorities, local residents, schoolchildren, students and simply concerned citizens.

The international event “Garden of Memory” was held for the first time in 2020.

Its goal is to create green monuments to everyone who died during the Great Patriotic War. In total - 27 million trees in memory of the 27 million dead!

Already in the first year of the event, more than 300 thousand people from all 85 regions of Russia and over 50 countries joined the large-scale initiative. The pandemic did not interfere with the action - caring residents of our country and abroad supported new formats of #MemoryGardenAtHome by planting trees on their plots.

The head of state declared the action annual. In 2020, People's Artist of the USSR Vasily Lanovov founded the first Memory Garden of Sevastopol.

The organizers of the “Garden of Memory” event are “Volunteers of Victory” and the Foundation for the Memory of Victory Commanders with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation and the Federal Forestry Agency within the framework of the national project “Ecology”, as well as the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation and the national project “Ecology”.

Also, in 2020, the company took an active and direct part in the implementation of the Federal Environmental Project “Forest Conservation” - within the framework of the National Project “Ecology”.

In the spring of 2020, the company carried out measures for forest reproduction, namely artificial reforestation by planting Korean Cedar forest crops on an area of ​​40 hectares of 126 thousand pieces. Korean Cedar seedlings with an open root system. Reforestation activities were carried out in the best agrotechnical terms.

Each year, the company's forest regeneration activities are planned in the volumes stipulated by forest lease agreements. The Company also takes an active part in Forest Conservation Actions held at the level of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and provides assistance to local authorities in carrying out such events. The National Ecology Project has been implemented since 2018 and includes 10 federal projects. Work is carried out in five areas: waste, water, air, biodiversity, and technology.
